Berlin, 1989. The Wall is about to come down, and the Cold War is ending. But for the spies who are deeply entrenched in the city, the threat has never been greater. When a list of all the agents from both sides is stolen, the race is on to retrieve it. Britain sends in their top agent, Lorraine Broughton, to complete the mission.
Lorraine is played by Charlize Theron, who delivers a butt-kicking performance that will delight even the most hardcore action fans. Starring alongside her are James McAvoy as another MI6 agent, and John Goodman as a senior CIA agent. Sofia Boutella is Delphine Lasalle, a rookie French agent who is rather intriguing to Lorraine.
The movie is based on the graphic novel The Coldest City by Antony Johnston, and scored 79% on Rotten Tomatoes, which complimented its “stylish action sequences – and ever-magnetic star”.
