Is Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix in South Africa?

It's been hailed as one of the best TV shows of all time and a must-watch for all anime fans, and it's now streaming on Showmax in South Africa.

Since its re-release on Netflix in other countries in May 2020, Avatar: The Last Airbender has swiftly risen through the ranks to become one of the platform’s most-watched shows. Not only that, but earlier this week it also tied with only one other show – Ozark – to feature on Netflix’s Top 10 list for a total of 57 consecutive days.

This means that this little Nickelodeon-animation-that-could tied in first place for the longest Top 10 streak of any other series on Netflix, ever.

But fans and those wanting to get into the Airbender world for the first time in South Africa won’t find the show on Netflix – instead, all three seasons are streaming on Showmax.

Avatar: The Last Airbender S1-3
