Kim’s Convenience S1-5
IMDb rating: 8.2/10
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 100%
All five seasons of the fan-favourite comedy series are now streaming on Netflix. If you’ve never dipped into the show about the Korean-Canadian Kim family, who run a convenience store in modern-day Toronto, you’ve been missing out on some of the most wholesome, feel-good entertainment on any internet TV platform.
Vulture writes, “The delivery is so effortless, and the scene’s flow is so natural, that the viewer has no choice but to laugh, gasping intermittently for air over the rest of the episode. In this way, Kim’s Convenience is both a balm and a riot,” and Hua Hsu said, writing for The New Yorker, “Our most prestigious television series often double as commentaries on modern life. Though Kim’s Convenience is set in the present, it feels like watching an alternate time line.”
