The first season of the hit show about Miriam “Midge” Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) saw Midge’s career as a comedian begin to blossom. In the second season, she continues to make waves in the 1950s comedy scene with her quick wit and hilarious stand-up performance.
In Season 3, it’s the 60s and Midge and her agent Susie go on tour across the US with celebrity crooner Shy Baldwin, with Midge opening for him and taking her act to brand-new audiences.
Joel struggles to support Midge while pursuing his own dreams. Abe embraces a new mission and Rose learns she has talents of her own.
The Marvellous Mrs Maisel is the winner of sixteen Emmy Awards including Outstanding Comedy series and three Golden Globes.
The Hollywood Reporter says, of Season 3, “Sherman-Palladino’s approach says, ‘Here! Look at all that’s wondrous in this show! Get caught up in all that’s good [and maybe ignore what doesn’t work].’ More often than not, I’m able to do just that.” Newsday agrees: “Yes, the basics absolutely are in place, and the pleasures, too.”
