Season 13 is a special instalment of the popular crime drama series because the show celebrates its 200th episode (episode 14) and there’s much fanfare with a number of returning faces like Lisa Norton, John Trench, Dmitry Chepoverstky and others reprising roles from previous seasons.
Don’t expect the murders to be any less mysterious either, even after 13 seasons – there’s everything from a woman who’s been missing for a decade but hasn’t aged, to a suspected fox hunter being buried in a fox hole.
On top of playing Murdoch in the period drama, Yannick Bisson got to write, produce and direct some of the episodes, revealing that “I have a tough time wrapping my head around the milestone. I never would have expected that a period piece like this would have caught on the way that it has. You do not enter into the entertainment business thinking you’ll have this type of success or this type of impact.”
William may not be the best of TV detectives (sorry, Sherlock Holmes from Elementary wins there), but he certainly is one of its finest – especially when he’s got help from his coroner wife Dr Julia Odgen (Helene Joy) and Constable Crabtree (Jonny Harris).
