Ripple Effect: The First WaveWatch full movie now
The world as we know it has changed forever, thanks to a threat so tiny it can’t be seen by the naked eye: COVID-19. This documentary looks at the cause and effects of the unprecedented pandemic, featuring stories from the families of victims, survivors and frontline workers from around the world.
It also weaves together the voices of the topmost experts from around the globe in various fields such as infectious diseases, viral pathology, world economics, political science, and more.
From those who warned a global pandemic was inevitable, to the wife of the US bus driver whose calls for more safety equipment went unheeded before his death, to the young and healthy mom of two who nearly succumbed to the disease, the interviews and testimonies paint a far more personal picture of the virus than we often see in the news.
The documentary was filmed in 14 countries and pulled together in six weeks by a team largely under lockdown and quarantine rules. It’s narrated by Hannah Maguire of the crime podcast RedHanded, and was produced by Kevin Fox, Ellen Douglas, Liz Levenson, and Benn Watson as a co-production between Cactus Tree Entertainment and Toronto-based RMI.
