Schitt’s Creek S6
IMDb rating: 8.4/10
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 100%
The eccentric Rose family is back for one last season, balancing some emotional goodbyes with the snark and humour we’ve come to expect from the former disgraced billionaires.
At the end of Season 5, Moira grappled with the news that her film, The Crows Have Eyes III: The Crowening, was shelved. She handled it by locking herself in the closet of their motel room to cry. Patrick proposed to David, and Alexis decided to follow her boyfriend Ted to the Galapagos.
In Season 6, we follow David and Patrick’s wedding plans, which are as wholesome as they are entertaining. Moira picks herself up and discovers social media. Alexis and Ted have a temporary long-distance relationship. And Johnny? He continues to grow a new empire while being a supportive husband, dad, and friend. It’s a season that’s witty and warm, and the perfect goodbye to one of TV’s most-loved families.
Vanity Fair said: “If they had to leave us – and this feels like a particularly painful time to say goodbye – at least the Rose family left us well. The magnificent series finale of Schitt’s Creek was a balm, a confection, a tear-jerker, and a perfect reminder that there just have to be better days ahead.”
