Series on Showmax were the big winners in the TV category at last night’s Golden Globes, taking home five of the 11 awards given, more than any other streaming service in Africa. In contrast, Prime Video took home Best comedy (Fleabag) and Best musical or comedy actress (Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge), Netflix won Best drama actress (The Crown’s Olivia Colman) and The Act on DStv Now won Best supporting actress for Patricia Arquette.
