The Heart Guy S3-4
Dr Hugh Knight used to be a hotshot city heart surgeon with the world at his feet. Then, through a series of lies and unfortunate events, he finds himself banished back to his backwater hometown, threatened with the removal of his medical licence if he fails to live up to the medical council’s requirements.
On top of this, he has to deal with his family, including a pushy mom and jealous brothers, his ex-girlfriend and assorted oddballs from around town.
We take up the story in Season 3, when Dr Hugh has found solace in his new world and reason to continue as a medical professional. He still has plenty to learn though, and he’s taught a lesson by an intern he must mentor. She’s basically a younger him: bullish, headstrong, defiant, short and rude. And that’s where the fun really starts. There’s also the drama that comes with inheriting his family’s debt and becoming a father…
“Sure, Hugh may have his flaws (his many, many flaws), but he’s also the ultimate loveable rogue. And just when you think you’re going to really get mad at him, he reminds us: ‘I’m only good at one thing. Saving lives’,” reviews drama.uktv.co.uk.
