The Jurassic Collection
Look out for the velociraptors! The first three Jurassic Park films are every bit as thrilling today as they were when they came out. And as cloning tech advances, we have to ask: could it be reality soon?
Jurassic Park (1993): The first in the franchise introduces the world to a soon-to-be-opened theme park in Central America where dinosaurs have been cloned. But it all goes horribly wrong when the dinosaurs are suddenly able to roam free… Look out for the young Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997): John Hammond once again convinces Ian Malcolm to travel to another island where cloned dinosaurs live. Against his better judgement, Ian agrees and he finds out he’s not the only visitor there with ulterior motives. Julianne Moore joins the cast.
Jurassic Park III (2001): A wealthy couple convinces Dr Grant to fly over Isla Sorna. When their plane crashes it’s revealed that they’re searching for their son on the island where genetically bred dinosaurs roam. They make some horrifying discoveries. William H Macy and Tea Leoni star.
The latest instalment, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) is now streaming on DStv Now and Showmax. When the dormant volcano on Isla Nublar begins rumbling, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) set a plan into motion to save the dinosaurs from extinction. But they uncover a bigger conspiracy on the island.
