For five years, between 1975 to 1980, the Yorkshire Ripper murders cast a dark shadow over the lives of women in the North of England.
Women were dead and the police seemed incapable of catching the killer. No one felt safe – and every man was a suspect.
This four-part miniseries was made by the team behind Don’t F**k With Cats, and goes into the details of each of Peter Sutcliffe’s victims, and how the murders affected England in the late 1970s.
To quote The Tab, he killed 13 women. Their names were Wilma McCann, Emily Jackson, Irene Richardson, Patricia Atkinson, Jayne MacDonald, Jean Jordan, Yvonne Pearson, Helen Rytka, Vera Millward, Josephine Whitaker, Barbara Leach, Marguerite Walls and Jacqueline Hill.
