These people should never have spent one night with their ex

One Night with My Ex is a reality show about people who aren’t quite ready to move on from their past. They either have a bone to pick with their ex or are holding onto high hopes of rekindling the relationship.

Here’s how it works. The exes spend a few hours together at a larney hotel in Sandton. If their conversation yields positive results, the two then spend the night in the same hotel room.

Deciding to spend the night together can mean one of two things: they’re either back together, or are thinking of giving the relationship a second (or, sometimes third) try.

But there are some former couples who should never have participated in One Night With My Ex. Frankly, they should’ve left their relationship in the past where it belonged.

These are three ex-couples who, in our opinion, had no business spending the night together.

Percy and Carmen’s toxic relationship

Former lovers Percy and Carmen took part in the reality show to iron out their differences and to find out the truth about the many secrets they kept from each other.

Carmen believed Percy was cheating on her with another former ex-lover, an allegation that Percy denies to this day. Percy, on the other hand, thought that Carmen was pregnant with his child only to find out she had faked the pregnancy for five months after a miscarriage.

What was concerning about this episode was when a fight almost erupted when a visibly irritated Tasha continuously questioned Percy about his other ex.

The damning truth: Ongezwa and Thulani

This particular episode was heartbreaking as Ongezwa genuinely loved Thulani, who suddenly disappeared on her without a trace. Although the two did not spend the entire night together, Ongezwa should not have wasted a second of her time in that hotel – especially after she asked Thulani if he loved her and all he could say was “Could we skip that question?”

It is clear that Thulani did not love her the way she ndeed to be loved and the fact that he hid his sexuality from her for so long cut deep.

Master and Thuli’s revenge cheating game

Out of all the couples, Master and Thuli’s relationship was the most toxic. Even though they genuinely loved each other, choosing to spend the night together right until the break of dawn was clearly a terrible decision.

When Master admitted that at first he was only attracted to Thuli’s physical attributes, we knew this episode would not end well.

It’s even worse that Master impregnated another woman while still in a relationship with Thuli. And as a means of paying revenge, Thuli cheated on him as well… Or did she?

Despite their differences, the two continued to spend the entire night with each other.
