This Is Us
Everyone has a family. And every family has a story. This Is Us chronicles the Pearson family across the decades: from Jack and Rebecca as young parents in the 1980s to their 39-year-old kids Kevin, Kate, and Randall, searching for love, fulfilment and families of their own in the present day.
This grounded, life-affirming dramedy reveals how the tiniest events in our lives impact who we become, and how the connections we share with each other can transcend time, distance, and even death.
In the first episode of Season 4, titled Strangers, Jack meets Rebecca’s parents, and as the season progresses, we find out more about their relationship, as well as watch cracks develop between Kate and Toby, who are adjusting to becoming new parents to Baby Jack. And that’s not the only surprise in store.
New York Magazine praises the premiere of the new season, saying, “I have to admit that I thought the show would string us along for several episodes before revealing how these people were tied into the main story, but good on This Is Us – by the end of Strangers we know how they’re initially connected.”
