Watch: How The Republic’s stylist Phindile Mlambo adds to the show’s success
It is sometimes easy for us to forget that there is an entire team of creatives working tirelessly at contributing to the end product that we see on our screens when we watch our favourite TV series.
Every individual who works in a production has a vital role to play, no matter how senior or junior their position may be.
Production stylist Phindile Mlambo shares her experience of working on The Republic and what it takes to be a stylist.
“To be a stylist takes creativity, drive and the love for it because if you don’t love it, you will fail.”
Phindile also speaks about how she derived her style influence for the show by observing South African parliament dignitaries like Naledi Pandor, and taking note of the way, for example, their suits always fit them perfectly.
