The first episode sees nursing-home employee Sarah find out that her teen daughter is pregnant.

In the Dark S1 – Twenty-something Murphy is fed up with her life. She uses her blindness as armour to keep people at a distance, spending her days drinking, smoking and having one-night stands. The only person she can connect with is 17-year-old street kid Tyson. One night, she is convinced she finds him dead and sets out to find the culprit. The only thing is, no-one will believe her. Has she maybe got things wrong – or is there something more sinister going on? From the writer of ‘The Newsroom’.
